Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Mary Pearl Rollins Denny age 83 of Woodland will be held Wednesday December 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Clayton Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Denny passed away Thursday December 1, 2011 at Traylor's Nursing Home.
Mrs. Denny is survived by one daughter Gloria Jackson of Auburn; one son Tammer Denny of Woodland; two sisters Margaret Smith of Roanoke and Ruth Bailey of Woodland; one brother Calvin Rollins of Gadsden; four grandchildren Daniel Denny, Deidra Denny, Keith Allred and April Finch; seven great- grandchildren Bruce Shrewsbury, Chellie Shrewsbury, Kevin Finch, Ryan Allred, Desirae Allred, Joshua Marshall and Joseph Denny.
Mrs. Denny was born April 19, 1928 the daughter of Henry Asbury and Nannie Lou Gross Rollins. She was a self- employed beautician and a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tammer (Gus) Denny, Sr. and a brother Owen Rollins.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home-Wedowee on Tuesday December 6, 2011 from 3 till 7 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
