Obituary of Dan Nelson Brown

Obituary Notice Funeral services for, Dan Nelson Brown, age 72, of Graham, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 31, 2011, from the Pine Hill Christian Church with Rev. Scott Akin officiating. Mr. Brown will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, December 30th. Pallbearers will be Jacob Brown, Daniel Hall, Wayne Johnson, Craig Brown, Doug Lovvorn, Dennis Lovvorn. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Cantrell, Johnathan Brown, and Mike Sicotte. Mr. Brown died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, June Cofield Brown of Graham; one daughter, Karron (husband Steve) Cantrell of Woodland; three sons, Kennon (wife Ann) Brown of Newell, Kevin (wife Sharon) Brown of Graham, Kerry (wife Athena) Brown of Graham; three sisters, Beatrice Daniel of Woodland, Peggy Eidson of Woodland, Mona Herren of Woodland; two brothers, Carey Brown of Swansea, SC, Paul Brown of Woodland; eleven grandchildren, Daniel Hall, Dustin & Dakota Cantrell, Wayne Johnson, Jake Brown, Jonathan Brown, Cassie Brown, Madison Brown, Sarah Sicotte, Katelynn Sicotte, Michael Sicotte; one great grandchildren, Allie Johnson. Mr. Brown was born, November 27, 1939, the son of Charlie Dew and Opal Kirby Brown. He was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and had worked construction for Ra-Lin. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Kenneth, Jack, Brooks, Buck and J. Q. Brown.
