Obituary Notice
Funeral services for John Frank Mitchell age 77 of Lanett will be held Thursday February 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. C . Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell passed away Tuesday February 14, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife Viola Holloway Mitchell of Lanett; one daughter Charlene Kelly of Woodland; three sons Ronnie ( Susie) Mitchell and Danny ( Michelle) Mitchell both of Lanett and Kim Johnny Mitchell of Hamilton; his step mother Florence Mitchell of Opelika; three sisters Linda Treadwell of Atlanta, Gary Sabbatino, and Debra Stallings of Opelika; one brother Stanley Joe Mitchell of Roanoke; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mitchell was born October 31, 1934 the son of Joe and Willie Rogers Mitchell. He was retired from Lanett Mills as a overhauler, and a member of Mount Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Billy Frank and John Earl Mitchell, one brother Edsel Mitchell, two sisters Jewell May and Mollie Hendon, one son-in-law Eric Kelly.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home -Wedowee on Thursday February 16, 2012 from 10 till 1 PM.
