Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Laura Yarbrough Laney age 86 of Woodland will be held Sunday February 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Dedman and Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Herren's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Laney passed away Thursday February 16, 2012 at N.H.C. Healthcare.

Mrs. Laney was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Rev. Curtis Laney of Woodland; two daughters Elvira Williams of LaGrange, Ga. and Arilene Laney of Anniston; a son in law Tommy Mize of Anniston; six grandchildren Roger ( Brandi) Williams, Steve Williams, Amy Steen ( Brad) Hurst, Sonny ( Emmy) Steen, Kirk (Brittany) Mize and Kraig Mize; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Mrs. Laney was born April 15, 1925 the daughter of Henry and Martha Huddleston Yarbrough. She was a retired self-employed merchant in Lagrange Ga. and a member of Herren's Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Janice Lynn Mize, a son in law Bobby Williams and a brother Sam Yarbrough.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home -Wedowee on Saturday February 18, 2012 from 5 till 8 PM.
