Obituary of David Wesley Benefield

Obituary Notice Funeral services for David Wesley Benefield age 75 of Munford will be held Thursday February 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Daniel Gissedaner officiating. Burial will follow in the Potash Cemetery. Mr. Benefield passed away Tuesday February 21, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Benefield is survived by his wife Brenda Benefield of Munford; four daughters Donna ( Doug) Standridge of Blountsville, Shoan (Ray) Sewell of Munford, Kendal ( Chad) Cotton of Oxford and Brianne Poore of Munford; four sons David (Leisa) Benefield of Wedowee, Craig ( Misti) Baldwin of Rockmart, Ga., Brandon (Kimberly) Benefield of Oxford and Juston Benefield of Munford; one brother Ray ( Blanchie) Benefield of Wedowee; Grandsons Andrew Sewell, Drew and Brad Benefield, Hunter Cotton, Will and Wes Standridge, Payton Sanders, Brantley and Brayden Poore, Chase Baldwin. Granddaughters Ashlie Benefield (Chad) Lee, Amberlee Cotton and Mikayla Poore. two great-grandsons Bryant and Brady Lee. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and church family. A native of Randolph county and had lived in the Oxford/Munford area for the past 30 years Mr. Benefield was born February 12, 1937 the son of Byron and Bertha Baldwin Benefield. He was owner and operator of Southern Used Cars in Oxford. He was a loving husband , dad and Paw Paw and will be greatly missed. Mr. Benefield was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Dehabra Benefield , six brothers Eugene, Douglas, Donald, Bobby, Earl and Terrell Benefield.
