Obituary Notice Funeral services for Clois Lauren Parker Lashley age 92 of Woodland will be held Saturday April 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Jones, Rev. Greg Norred, Rev. Stephen Dedman and Rev. Jacob Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Lashley passed away Thursday April 19, 2012 at Wedowee Hospital. She was survived by two daughters Connie ( Larry) Nobbley of Newell and Phyllis (Tommy) Hartley of Woodland; one granddaughter April Nobbley of Newell; two sisters Josie Parker Teal of Roanoke and Winnie Parker Baker of LaGrange, Ga. Pallbearers will be Sherrell Parker, Blake Parker, Horace Parker, Jim Gross, Robert Parker, Huel Walls and Terry Baker. The family will accept flowers or request donations to Liberty Grove Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. Mrs. Lashley was born September 15, 1919 the daughter of Joe and Viola Wilson Parker. She was retired from Lamar's Mfg. Co. as a seamstress and a member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant child Glen Eugene Lashley, five brothers Loyd, Willie, Vernon, Brewell and Garvis Parker and four sisters Iva Dewberry, Tressie Ware, Minnie Lee Gross and Effie Walls. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Friday April 20, 2012 from 4 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
