Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Annie Evie Wood Lyner, age 93, of Wedowee, will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Keith, Rev. David Taft and Rev. Ken Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 19th.

Pallbearers will be Larry Wortham, Wayne Wortham, Jerry White, Kerry White, Barry White and Adam Wood.

Mrs. Lyner died Monday, June 18, 2012 at N H C Healthcare

Mrs. Lyner is survived by one daughter, Virginia (husband Kermit) White of Wedowee; one son, Deryl (wife Rebecca) Wood of Anniston; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.

Mrs. Lyner was born August 24, 1918, the daughter of Eugene and Alice Boyd Pauly. She was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and had been a laborer for Clegg Poultry Company. Mrs. Lyner is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wood; two sisters; two brothers.
