Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Dwight Wesley Thomas age 67 of Wedowee will be held Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Allan Daniel and Bro. Harry Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowden City Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at Bethany House in Auburn.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife Jeanette Thomas of Wedowee and one sister Sue Thomas Brown of Bowden, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Keith Blue, Phillip Carter, Scott Fowler, Claude Fredericks, Dustin Messer, Brad Prince, Donald Thompson and Tony Whiddon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Fredericks, John Frank Kirby, Wayne McCulligh and Charles Whiddon.
Mr. Thomas was born July 18, 1944 the son of Larry Wayne and Gladys Lavise Moore Thomas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of West Broad Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers James Richard Thomas and Clifford Wayne Thomas.
The family will accept flowers or suggest donations be made to Randolph County Animal Shelter, 104 Animal Shelter Road, Wedowee, Alabama 36278.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Monday June 25, 2012 from 5 till 7 PM.
