Obituary Notice

Funeral services for James A. Greene age 77 of Wedowee will be held Tuesday July 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Midway Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Greene passed away Saturday July 7, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Greene is survived by his wife Imogene T. Greene of Wedowee; three sons James Randy (LeAnne) Greene of Auburn, Michael Steve Greene of Dallas, Tx. and Barry Jay (Sandy) Greene of Savannah, Ga; two sisters Juliette Yates of Pell City and Betti Jo Parker of Woodland; two grandchildren Tonya Greene Fornier and Abigail Renee Green.

Mr. Greene was born October 15, 1934 the son of Joseph Leonard and Eula Elizabeth Brewer Greene. He was retired from Pinkerton and Laws Construction Co. as a construction supervisor and a member of Midway Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Susan Renee Greene, one sister Ramona Lowe and two brothers Radford and Edward Elger Greene.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Monday July 9, 2012 from 6 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
