Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Willie G. Waldrep age 93 of Wedowee will be held Saturday July 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Rock Springs Christian Church with Rev. Roger Florence and Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Waldrep passed away Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Traylor's Nursing Home.
Mrs. Waldrep is survived by her husband Paul Waldrep of Wedowee; two daughters Carolyn White of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Patricia Mooney of Stockbridge, Ga; one son Robert L. Dobson of Wedowee; one sister Betty B. Walker of Stockbridge, Ga; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Waldrep was born March 9, 1919 the daughter of Charlie Thomas and Susan Iola Cofield Brand. She was retired from Handley Mills as a weaver and a member of Rock Springs Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Aubrey E. Dobson, one grandchild Anthony Shawn Moody and 12 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Friday July 20, 2012 from 3 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
