Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Marjorie Traylor Boone, age 92, of Wedowee, will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 3, 2012, from First Methodist Church of Wedowee with Rev. Russell Hestley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, August 2nd.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Boone, Glenn Wilkinson, Jay Stone, Paul Showalter, Jerry Traylor and Joey Rispoli.
Mrs. Boone died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Clay County Hospital.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her husband Charles (Doug) Boone of Wedowee; two daughters, Nancy and the late Jay Wilkinson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Susan (husband Dave) Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, SC; one son, Charlie (wife Brenda) Boone of Wedowee; one sister, Mary Frank Willingham of Wedowee; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Boone was born April 4, 1920, the daughter of Menyard Howard and Bessie Landers Traylor. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Wedowee and a housewife. Mrs. Boone is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris Johnson; two brothers, Earnest Traylor and Bevis Traylor.
