Obituary Notice
Funeral services for William Cleveland "Billy" Toney, age 72, of Newell, will be 11:00 AM, CST, Friday, August 17, 2012, from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Stewart and Rev. Ken Bowman officiating. Mr. Toney will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, August 16, 2012.

Mr. Toney died, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Mr. Toney is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Toney and Christine Daniel both of Bowdon, GA; one brother, Jack Toney of Newell; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Ken and Ann Brown.
Mr. Toney was born, August 3, 1940, the son of Denzel G. and Florence Lovvorn Toney. He was of Baptist faith and had worked for Southwire. Mr. Toney is preceded in death by his wife; Jayne Jackson Toney; his parents; one brother, Bobby Toney; nephew, Billy Richardson.
