Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Warren H. Williams age 90 of Newell will be held Sunday August 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Williams passed away Friday August 24, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Williams is survived by one niece Carolyn (Michael) Merrill of Columbus, Ga; one nephew Kenneth (Jimmy) Williams of Alpharetta, Ga;
Pallbearers will be Ken Wiggins, James Ray Kirby, Barry Daniel, Ronnie Prince, Jack Shelton and Billy Edwards.
Mr. Williams was born August 15, 1922 the son of Frank and Lena Bell Williams. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Air Force. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot as a Supply Clerk and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Brooksie Williams, two sisters Edna Thornton and Eva Washburn, three brothers Weston Williams, Grady Williams and R.C. Williams.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Saturday August 25, 2012 from 4 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
