Obituary of Gordon W. Crews

Obituary Notice Funeral services for, Gordon W. Crews, age 79, of Woodland, will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2012, from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Widener officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, September 7th. Mr. Crews died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his home. Mr. Crews is survived by one daughter, Mira Crews of Carrollton, GA; one son, Clark Gordon Crews of Graham; one daughter-in-law, Rilla Joy Hollaway Crews; two sisters, LaQueata Henderson of Carrollton, GA, Melinda Punkosdy of Bowdon, GA; one brother, Sherwin Crews of Carrollton, GA; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Crews was born, August 30, 1933, the son of Henry and Narma Ruth Walker Crews. He was of the Christian faith, worked in sales for Banks Oil Company, and was a member of the Bowden Masonic Lodge.
