Helen and my mom, Sandy Nance, taught together at Weaver Elementary for several years and were good friends who kept in touch even after they had both retired. During my mother's illness, Helen called regularly to check on her and was tremendously saddened by her death. I regret that I have only just found out about Helen's death, but know through conversations with her and Mom that her faith was strong and she and Mom are enjoying some unrushed quality time together is the presence of their Saviour.
