Obituary Notice

Funeral services for, Winnie Waters Brown, age 91, of Woodland, will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 28, 2012, from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Greg Norred officiating. Burial will follow in Wedowee City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, September 27th.

Pallbearers will be her family.

Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Brown is survived by one daughter, Betty Jean Dunn and husband James of Arab; one son, Larry F. Brown and wife Jane of Woodland; one brother, Therom Waters of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; caregivers, Mary Herren, Pearlie Moore, Ann Moore and Tammy Strain.

Mrs. Brown was born, October 7, 1920, the daughter of, Bill and Betty Lipham Waters. She was a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church and had been a seamstress for Fashion Star, Inc. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Kinsman Brown; her parents; thirteen brothers and sisters.
