Obituary Notice Funeral services for Bobby Ray Taylor age 69 of Roanoke will be held Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Prospect Methodist Church with Rev. Ridley Parmer and Rev. Donald Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Taylor passed away Saturday October 13, 2012 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga. Survivors include his wife Lillian Taylor of Raonoke; three daughters Debbie (Terry) Sellers of Woodland, Cindy Taylor of Graham and Shelby (Gary) McCormick of Newell; one son Richard (Stacy) Taylor of Woodland; four sisters Eris King and Peggy Harmon of Woodland, Annette Hand of Moreland, Ga. and Linda McKee of Roanoke; four brothers Bonnie Wright of Roanoke, Danny Taylor of Woodland, Clinton Taylor of Bowden, Ga. and Jerry Taylor of Heflin. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kevin Taylor, Robert Moon, Ricky Arrington, Mike Spradlin, Bobby Taylor, Daniel McCormick, Ricky Spradlin, William Yates and Joe Mote. Mr. Taylor was born May 25, 1943 the son of Elbert and Gladys Brown Taylor. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Cagle's and a Baptist by faith. He was a former member of the Army National Guard of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Charlotte Taylor and one brother Tim Taylor. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Monday October 15, 2012 from 5 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
