Obituary of Wallace Clifford Lee

Funeral services for Wallace Clifford Lee, age 83, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek Methodist Church with Bro. Jacob Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023.  Mr. Lee will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.

Mr. Lee passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include: two daughters, Jana Zeitvogel (C. J.) of Trussville and Jennifer Lee of Moody; two sons, Greg Lee (Tracie) of Pelham and Tim Lee (Casey) of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Jill Richardson (Mike), Vanna (Chase), David Lee, Carson, and Jack; five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Charlotte, Clara, Presley, and Greyson; three sisters, Jo Anne Maxwell, Linda Wakeham, and Kathy Thrash; and three brothers, Robert Lee, Vic Lee, and Jimmy Lee.

Pallbearers will be Brad Maxwell, Randall Smith, C. J. Zeitvogel, Carson Zeitvogel, Mike Richardson, and Chase Stephens.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Lee and Jack Zeitvogel.

A Woodland native, Mr. Lee was born on May 28, 1940, the son of Virgil and Ruth Capehart Lee.  He was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church and had been an iron core molder for ACIPCO where he was retired after 35 years of employment.  Mr. Lee was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice Lee; and a brother, Roy Lee.
