Funeral services for John Franklin “Jay” Windham, Jr., age 36, of Pensacola, FL, will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Allen Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015.
Mr. Windham passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015.
Survivors include one son, Ethan Cole Windham of Pensacola, FL; parents, John Franklin Windham, Sr. and Patricia Strain Windham of Pensacola, FL; two aunts, Marie Strain of Tuscaloosa and Nancy Windham; one uncle, Mike Strain of Woodland; and beloved friend, Renee Jones of Pensacola, FL.
An Escambia County native, Mr. Windham was born on July 27, 1979, the son of John Franklin Windham, Sr. and Patricia Strain Windham. He was Church of Christ by faith and had been employed as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Mary Lou Strain; paternal grandfather, Grover Windham; and paternal grandmother, Nancy and John Haynie.
Memorials may be floral or the family requests contributions to United Cerebral Palsy Pensacola Operation, 2912 N E St., Pensacola, FL 32501 or to the Pensacola Opera.
