Rex was such a great guy. I thoroughly enjoyed the years we spent working together at the Post Office. I will miss seeing him when our paths crossed from time to time. My prayers are with the family on this sad occasion. I am only one of many who will miss my friend Rex Ballinger. On Easter 1973, Rex and I were working the loading dock at the Anniston, Alabama Post Office. One of our co-workers commented that it was Easter Sunday, then he asked if we really believed that Jesus arose from the dead? After a few moments of silence, Rex and I answered simultaneously---Yes! That was the kind of man Rex was. I was glad to call him friend.
