Mr. Longino was recommended as the best mechanic to work on my car, and indeed he was! He was genuinely a nice, honest and respectable man. If he couldn't repair the problem, he was honest to tell me so. I never felt like he overcharged on the parts or labor fees, and I appreciated whenever he applied an airline discount. I hated though when he'd tell me it was time..... break down and buy a new car! ;-)
May your faith and memories sustain you, and may he rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him. God's peace.

I came to know Jack when I began working for the City of College Park in 2004. My favorite memory of Jack were the times he spent to ask me, before a Council Meeting or after, how my daughter was! As she grew up through the years, he asked me about the plans she had for her life, and I would share her dreams with him. He seemed to always show a sincere caring for those outside of his family too. You are missed already! To Mrs. Longino and family, my heart aches for yours.

My husband grew up in College Park and we lived there until 1983. When I met Jack, I remember him as being tall with dark brown hair and oh, so pleasant. I will always remember him that way. I know my husband has his own special memories of Jack, especially as they both politically served different cities.. We were so sad to hear of his passing and our thoughts are with those loved ones he leaves behind. Sincere condolences, Walter & Sharon White

Gloria and Family: What a Man! I came to know Jack when he first served as City Councilman and then four years later was elected as Mayor of College Park. He truly loved the City of College Park and worked hard to better the city and bring new growth to the city. He was an honest man and a man of integrity, one that the citizens could trust and look up too. Jack had common sense and wisdom that he shared with the city of College Park. Jack was friend to so many and if Jack was your friend, you were blessed to have one friend for life. He was kind. gentle and strong at the same time, he was a lover of people and people love him, and he loved and adored his family. He is missed by so many of us, who appreciated and loved him, dearly. Jack, You served well. Rest In Peace. Jessie L. Phillips

I live in College Park and have known Jack since High School. My parents knew him and his parents well, and took their cars to Longino Automotive for work, as did I. He was always so good to my parents, and especially to my Mom, during the 14 years she survived my Dad. He conducted his business as he did his own life, with honesty. He was a good man, who always lit up, when he spoke about his wife and family. His accomplishments were a reflection of the character and integrity he had, achieved because of it. I laughed at his niece's comment about his immaculately spotless shop, because it always was. I would hang out and pat his beloved dog Daisy, while he fixed my car. He was smart and would give me an honest answer to anything, which I appreciated. I always enjoyed his dry wit and great sense of humor, also mentioned by his niece. He is already missed. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to his wife, Mother, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, and all of their families. May God and the love of those around you bring you comfort during this time. You will remain in my thoughts, Harriet Scott.

Jack has been a family friend for many years . As my Dad was in the transmission business and my brother worked along with Jack for 11 years at his automotive shop . I went to his automotive shop many times with my parents since it was a half way point to meet and take them to their doctor appointments. Jack was nice and let them hang out and always went out of his way to make us all feel welcomed. Sending prayers to his family during this difficult time . We will miss Jack!

My condolences to Jack’s friends and family. I had the honor of working with Mr. Longino for over 17 years. He would use our company whenever his customers needed our services. A great man and a great loss for our community and in life. My prayers and thoughts are with the immediate family and all those Jack has blessed with his presence.

My favorite memory of uncle Jack was when I visited dad (chuck) as a teenager and eating off the floor of Longino Automotive. No, we didn’t, but we COULD HAVE and that’s what I remember best. Visiting as an adult and showing the shop to my son and husband (both mechanics) was super exciting. I was always proud to say my uncle was a mayor and when the Internet came along I would Google him and show him off. I loved his sense of humor.

I never met Jack. But, I do know several of his closest friends. I’ve heard some wonderful things and lovingly funny reminiscences about him. It sounds like he was a wonderful man. I wanted to offer my deepest condolences and prayers to you, the family and his friends and associates.

Jack and I were best friends since I was 16 and he 15. Not a week or 2 ever went by in 53 years that we did not call each other and in the past seen each other . I was his best man ant his 1st marriage and he was mine.At age 21 he and I borrowed him moms station wagon and took a 30 day trip all across the USA camping. WHat great memories I have for all the times together, He was the brother I never had and I loved him.,we talked 3 weeks ago about all our friends passing and he told me that he knew that if he crossed over 1st that I could not come to his funeral due to I take care of 83 dogs alone at my wedowee dog rescue. Jack said not to worry about it because the funeral is for the living. May Father above bless his soul and give comfort to Ms Gloria and family. Gods speed Jack, you were loved by 1000s that you touched here on earth.see you on the other side after my job here is done, yours is over and what a great job you did..I am proud to had you as my best friend for life.the photo is Jack and his dog Daisy that died in 2018 of cancer, Daisy went to work with Jack every day at his shop. I bet that was a good reunion. I took this photo

I never met Mr. Jack & I've only recently met Mrs. Gloria, but in that short time she shared things with me about her husband and just through those few experiences I could tell that she was in love with him & proud of him. I was saddened to hear of his passing and I know how tough the road ahead is for the family. I pray comfort and God's will be done in the lives of all who knew Mr. Longino and those who are affected by his loss.

What a man! Jack Longino was the best. I am so proud I got to know him and he was my pal.
Gloria, Jessica and Whitney…he loved ya’ll. Talked about you all the time.
I am sorry he has gone to Heaven sooner than we wanted.
God has a plan…we can’t divine it. I reckon he had another job for Jack to do.
Wherever it is….I know Jack will do the job!
I love ya’ll.
