Tribute to my Sister Betty, from her baby Sis, Peggy. My memories are many, I want to share a few. Betty was a prankster. You never knew when, where or what she was going to do, you only knew she was going to. When my best friend Darlene and I were in Jr.High school, Betty and Nellie said do you girls want to have a drink of vodka...we said oh yeh..The parents were not home...so we drank...and giggled, laid on the floor & laughed etc....then they told us to get our butt's to bed because we had been drinking water that they put in a Vodka Bottle..
She would put purses in the road with string on them to wait for a car to stop, & when they did she pulled the string , purse gone...car gone! Betty was Unique and Sneaky.
When my Sister Nellie & I went back to visit in the 70's. one night the lights went out...when it was dark at their house it was dark..then Betty & Ray came through the doors dressed like ghosts...omg! I don't think we will ever recover from that one...
There are many more fun stories to share, my memories to enjoy...I Love her Dearly. I'm thankful she is out of pain and up there in Heaven with the rest of the family...I will see you again some day...Love Always your baby Sister Peggy~

I have been a part of this family for many years so I'm considered an adopted Sister/Daughter.
Betty had the most beautiful long dark hair and she would let be brush it until I wore out her head. This is when Lil Peggy & I were 13. Their home was always spotless...and had many pretty things to look at. The first visit ever in their home (Ma Parks came into the room bellering No One Sits on My Beds) I had sat down on the end of the bed. I jumped up like my butt was on fire! so while I was waiting for Lil Peg to come back into the room...I had picked up a broach to look at...Betty walked in and said. Are you pilferin? I looked and her and smiled. Peggy came into the room and I asked her what is pilferin...I had never heard the word in my life. Then Ma asked me to go put some tissue on the comode? I found Peggy again...what is a comode (: she said the toilet Silly. I thought I was in another country...in a way I was.
The last visit Betty made to California we were all at Lil Peggy's house. Billy,Big Peggy , me my husband & Johnny. We took the kids over to a cousins house to spend the night so they could have more sleeping room. When we got back home she was laying on the lawn with catsup poured over & down her neck...I froze..Lil Peggy hollered Betty,Betty !! She sat up and laughed. Big Peggy went balistic...running into the house calling Bill, Bill ...it was not funny to her as it scared her to death but we all got a good laugh..Betty was born to think of things to do to people no one could or would think about...that is what made her Unique and Special. I Loved her! Now she is with the Angels and all the family and out of her pain...I can see the smile on her face right now. Conway Twitty is up there also , so this will be a great treat for her. God Bless all the Family. Love Darlene

Dear Aunt Betty,
It had been so long since the last time we saw each other which was at Grandma Parks Birthday Party in Stockton. I have many fond memories of you from when I was a little girl. I remember all the dresses you would make for me and I remember attending your baby shower and feeling so proud that I was allowed to go considering how young I was. You are now in peace and reunited with your mom,dad and all your brothers. With love to you forever. Lisa (Park) Cobourn
